A VIEW ON IRRIGATION METHODS

additional of optimum water needed by a plant, supply amount of water in regular intervals during periods of inadequate rainfall,Increase in agricultural production and productivity gives a favor to business agricultural strategy.
before starting irrigating, approach the farm and visual investigation of the availability of water, eg under ground or surface , by doing so this will give you primary view of your cultivation plan. example
chosen field to practice irrigation has no surface water,  requires you to drill a well  and find a reservoir. if the field is on the hill or long distance to the river ,it requires a pump and a reservoir under government authority of water use

Method of irrigation mostly used

surface irrigation

direct conveyance of water from a stream via slope to field, this is a traditional irritation which is
mostly used and inexpensive compare to the other. this method is divided into Basin irrigation Border irrigation Furrow irrigation and Uncontrolled flooding.these surface system has advantages and disadvantages depending on such factors:
initial cost , size and shape of fields, soil characteristics,  nature and availability of the water supply , climate ,cropping patterns ,social preferences and structures  ,historical experience  and influences external to the surface irrigation system.

sprinkler irrigation

they call it artificial rain, is application of water in rain form to the field, which bring a result of wetted profile of the field, this is expensive than surface, most row, field and tree crops are suitable for srinkler and water can be sprayed over or under the crop canopy. However, large sprinklers and high pressure drops can damage the crop. components of  sprinkler irrigation;Pump unit ,Mainline and sometimes, submainlines, Laterals and Sprinklers

drip irrigation

is a form of irrigation that saves water and fertilizer by allowing water to drip slowly to the roots of many different plants, either onto the soil surface or directly onto the root zone, through a network of valves, pipes, tubing, and emitters. this is much expensive than the other but give assurance in water saving and direct fertilizing. technical use required in installation and maintenance of the system.
operational water is applied close to plants so that only part of the soil in which the roots grow is wetted. components of drip irrigation are Pump unit, Control head ,Main and submain lines ,Laterals and Emitters or drippers (emitter can be clogged due to less filtration)

note: every crop has it own water requirement, technical help is required in both methods, from soil investigation to water quality investigation, design of the layout. In business platform your budget is most key point to decide what kind of method your going to use
Quotation

I believe in the future of agriculture, with a faith born not of words but of deeds.
